Initial assessment and treatment session with our Registered Physiotherapist is broadly categorized into 4 steps-

A) History taking- will start with conversation to have a thorough understanding of your symptoms (mechanism of injury, progression of your symptoms, how these symptoms are restricting your activities of daily living and sports, severity and nature of your symptoms etc).

B) Physical Examination- Having a feel for the range of movement, flexibility and strength in your muscles,joints and nervous system. Palpating your muscles and joints to identify any trigger points, swelling and tender spots. Assessing your gait and posture

C) Diagnosis- Based on the above 2 steps your Registered Physiotherapist will educate you on the nature of your condition, give you recovery timelines and explain the activity and movements that will facilitate your recovery

D) HANDS ON TREATMENT- Our Registered Physiotherapist will do hands on treatments such as manual therapy techniques (mobilization and/or manipulations of joints, stretching of muscles and fascia, neural mobilizations, graston techniques, soft tissue release etc). They will also be prescribing simple stretches to retain the effects of hands on treatment and alleviate pain between the physio sessions.


Massage Therapy

Jordaine has received his Bachelor of Science degree with honours in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph in 2015. Afterwards, he began his employment as a fitness professional where he worked with clients individually or in groups. In 2017 he earned his certificate in Exercise Science and Lifestyle Management at Humber College and became a Registered Kinesiologist. Jordaine has worked in a multitude of clinics since then to help maintain, rehabilitate and increase movement through therapeutic exercises. In 2021 he graduated from Ontario College of Health and Technology and became a Registered Massage Therapist to treat and prevent physical dysfunction of pain. Jordaine is a firm believer in tailoring and individualizing treatments plans as he understands that each patient has his own vision and journey of how they want their bodies to look, feel, and function.He specializes in Swedish massage, Myofascial Release, Dynamic Release, Joint Mobilizations, Lymphatic Drainage, Sports Massage, Soft Tissue Release and Kinesiology taping. He really enjoys practicing massage therapy as he wants to make a difference in everyone’s life who suffers with musculoskeletal problems.
